Ruislip pub holds balloon race

The George Harvester in Bury Street, Ruislip, is holding a balloon race for Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The pub and grill will be selling race cards for balloons throughout the next six weeks with the aim of releasing 250 balloons on August 25.

The owner of the balloon that travels the furthest across the country will be in with a chance of winning a champagne trip for two in a hot air balloon.

Make-A-Wish Foundation turns the wishes of children and young people living with life-threatening illnesses into reality.

The race cards are £1 and can be bought from the Harvester in Ruislip.
