AN RUISLIP artist is currently exhibiting his paintings at Uxbridge Library.

Robert Adam, 58, of Reservoir Road, Ruislip, is showcasing a collection of his artwork he was been producing over the past 10 years.

He said: "Its all self-taught, painting is something I've always done.

"I have had fantastic feedback so far, this is the first time I've ever done anything like this, usually you find if you are not part of an art society you can't get your pictures shown."

A number of visitors have left very complementary messages in the visitors book at the Atrium in Uxbridge Library where the work is being displayed, and is on show until Friday 21 August.

The paintings are a mixture of themes, often having clever double meanings or a play on words, for example one is a cricket bat with a bat flying through it chasing a cricket.
