Personal trainer launches self help book

A PERSONAL trainer and coach for women is launching her first book to help young women fell happier and more confident in their lives.

Davinia Gill, of Ladygate Lane, Ruislip, got the inspiration for her book , Imagine & You Can, after going on the Paul McKenna course four years ago.

The 30-year-old said: "I did a practitioner course and I trained with him for three weeks.

"He completely transformed my life. I always had a fear of public speaking so he made me stand up in front of 500 people and talk for about 20 minutes. It was really hard, but it completely turned me around and I realised I could do anything.

"I have been coaching women for about four years now. I train my clients to increase their self esteem and make them feel healthier.

"A lot of my them were unhappy so I thought what would be better than to write a book about being more confident.

"The book advises people about how they can feel better and it helps them to come up with an action plan. It also gives them time to think about themselves because we often don't have the time nowadays because society is so fast paced.

"A lot of the people I am targeting with the book are in their late teens and early 20s when they need that help. I want to get it into universities and schools as well.

"This is the hardest thing I have ever done but it will be worth it."

The book is being published on October 5 and Miss Gill will be signing copies of it at the launch on October 17 at Borders in Watford between midday and 3pm.

She is also giving away five copies of the book. For your chance to win one send your name and contact details to dg@davinia.org.uk
