THE new Tesco Express store in Ruislip celebrated its launch by making a £500 donation to a scout group.

Scout leaders from 4th Ruislip Scouts were the guests of honour when the new store opened on the former Woolworths site in the High Street, yesterday (14).

As part of the opening celebrations, store manager Jodie Clarke and her staff
presented the scouts with a cheque for £500 towards their new camping gear.

Ms Clarke said: "We are delighted to be able to support our local scouts, and hope they get good use out of their new camping equipment.

"My staff and I are really enjoying welcoming our customers into the new store and we hope that Tesco will become a key part of the local community."

The store will be open from 6am until 11pm seven days a week. It also has a cash machine outside.

We'd like to hear from you.
