A HOSPICE that looks after people with illnesses they cannot recover from has opened two new charity shops.

Last Thursday (12) the Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Shirley Harper-O'Neill, opened the new Harlington Hospice shops in West Drayton and Victoria Road, Ruislip Manor.

Harlington Hospice Association, which is based in St Peters Way, Harlington, was founded in 1984 by neighbours in the area with a mission to provide quality care and compassion to people in the community who are suffering from an illness they cannot recover from.

The hospice has to raise £1million a year from charitable activities, including a weekly lottery, donations and fundraising events.

They also already have shops in Harlington, Ickenham, Stanwell and Pinner Green.

I went in there today , its very pricey !!When will charity shops learn that the people who like to shop in these type of shops want a bargain ! The RSPCA shop in the manor have it just right for pricing as does the FARA shop in Eastcote. Oxfam are a joke and the rspca IN EASTCOTE are out of touch !They seem to forget the goods are donated FREE , pile it high and sell it cheap thats my motto.I see primarks clothes in charity shops that are priced at more than they cost when new in primark. Bring back FARA in the manor , that was great ! like alladins cave.
