Talented teen wins national dance competition

A TALENTED teenager who won a national dance competition got to spend the day with a popular girl band and was treated to a celebrity pop star makeover.

Lily Harte, 14, of Shenley Avenue, Ruislip Manor, fended off stiff competition from lots of young hopefuls to win the How Do You Rock Your ROOS dance contest.

The competition asked entrants to create a dance routine to the Dolly Rocker's first single, Gold Digger, which they then had to video and upload to the MyKangaROOS bebo page.

The competition saw girls up and down the country - as well as the odd boy or two - strutting their stuff in their bedrooms trying to win the ultimate prize: a day with Dolly Rockers and a makeover, all filmed for four short films to be exclusively screened on bebo throughout November and December.

Lily said: "I never dreamed I would win the dance competition. Dancing isn't something I do professionally, for me it's just about having a good time.

"When I found out I had won I was completely gob smacked. Spending a day with the Dolly Rockers was amazing and getting a makeover to look just like the girls was fab."

We'd like to hear from you.
