The lido's popular splash pad, a children's play area, could not open as planned on Good Friday (22) because of an electrical fault.

The water facility had been due to reopen for the summer season last week and would have been enjoyed by the many children who packed the lido throughout the weekend. Instead, everyone remained dry on the beach.
