Eastcote Lawn Tennis Club has invested £40,000 in a new viewing area, members' lounge and outdoor decking that will allow it to hold more social functions.

Eastcote and East Ruislip Councillor Bruce Baker was on hand to cut the ribbon to formally open the facilities at the clubhouse in Kaduna Close.

Director of coaching, David Emms, said: "It is a brilliant new facility for our members and we hope it will help us to attract new players."

The 87-year-old club has about 200 members who take advantage of its six tennis courts, four of which are floodlit. For more information visit www.eastcotetennis.co.uk
