Painter pupils go to the wall for Grangewood

AN ART attack on an epic scale brought together two schools last week to brighten up a playground.
Grangewood School in Eastcote, a primary school for children with learning and other disabilities and Haydon School, also in Eastcote, got together to paint a mural for the primary school children.
Ten Year 10 students and teachers from Haydon brightened up both the infant and junior playgrounds at Grangewood.
Sarah Tosdevin, infant class teacher at Grangewood, said: "The students worked hard all week, were polite and well-mannered and dedicated to finishing the mural on time for the Grangewood Summer Fair.
"They have all commented on how much they have enjoyed the project as well.
"The impact on our children has been incredible already and they have been watching the progress and the mural unfold, from the big playground, away from the paint pots!
" 'It's beautiful' one of our year six pupils said, without prompting.
"Their work has been amazing and we have been so excited all week, admiring their skill, hard work and dedication."
The paint for the mural was provided free of charge by Dulux as part of its Let's Colour scheme for schools.
